South East Asian Funeral Services

Our South East Asian Funeral Services have been formed in consultation with the community and their general needs (keeping in mind each family is unique). We have had many requests over the years for funeral packages for various communities with a particular focus on cultural or religious themes. In light of these requests, we have formulated these funeral packages that cater to specific needs, whilst giving families the option to alter these to their own needs.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to use these funeral packages.

South East Asian Burial Service

Cost $11,500

  • Initial Transfer of the Deceased
  • Standard Size Embalming
  • Traditional Chinese Death Clothes
  • Dressing at our Funeral Home
  • American Style Solid Wood Casket or
  • Solid Macrocarpa Shaped Coffin
  • 2 Hours use of our Chapel (Business Hours)
  • 60 Service Sheets
  • 1.2 Meter Casket Spray
  • 2 x Rose or Lilly Bowels for Service
  • Hearse transfer & Funeral Director at Funeral service
  • Chapel Hire for 1 Hour
  • Hearse Transfer & Funeral Director at Cemetery
  • 4 Pall Bearers at the burial service
  • Individualised Temporary Grave Marker
  • 1 Death Certificate

Our South East Asian Burial Service Includes the Following

  • Transfer from Home or Hospital to the funeral home.
  • We will meet with the family to discuss funeral arrangements, and guide the family where necessary.
  • We will assist with the paperwork and booking for the cemetery.
  • Once our embalming team is ready, the preparation takes up to 1 or 2 days, depending on the individual circumstances. Before embalming takes place it is helpful for us to know approximately when the funeral is likely to take place. If embalming is not required we will be able to use our cool facility.
  • We will make an appointment for the family to come in for dressing. After dressing we place the deceased in their casket and family are welcome to view.
  • The casket that is included in this service is a Solid Wood, Raised Lid Macrocarpa or Rimu Coffin (what is available at the time), or an American Style Raised Lid Casket. It is a standard size and will be suitable for someone less than 6’1’’ and weighing less than 125kg. Families need to note that solid wood coffins are not always available, so the first choice may not be available.
  • We make our chapel available for a total of 2 hours for the family to view. Families have a 2 hour viewing or they can have 2 separate 1 hour viewings. The chapel is made available at this time and is capable of seating up to 40 people in comfort.
  • On the day of the Funeral Service, we arrive at the chapel location with the 1.2-meter casket spray, 2 floral bouquets (Lily or Roses, what is available at the time) and the 60 service sheets that have been professionally printed in the ceremonial hearse.
  • We have 4 pall bearers to carry the casket or coffin into the service and also carry it to the burial location.
  • Once the service is completed, we transfer with the hearse and pall bearers to the cemetery.
